Casa La Iguana is a 5 bedroom, 7 bathroom house located on the bay in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz island's main port and the gateway to the rest of the Galapagos Islands. The house sits right on the water and is easily accesible by a 2 minute boat-taxi ride from the main dock in town. Casa La Iguana is most likely Galapagos' best rental property. It is tastefully decorated and uses local materials in its construction and decor. All rooms are tastefully done and have private bathrooms, TV and A/C. The staff cooked for us delicious fresh seafood daily and arranged all our day trips around the islands for exploration, snorkeling, etc. This place really MADE our Galapagos vacation. I spent 4 night and 5 days with two of my best friends at Casa La Iguana. I am a world traveler and have travelled in over 75 countries. so i have high expectations when I choose a resort. I must say that Casa La Iguana have met all my HIGH expectations and more. Firstly, the villa is located in an astonishing location at the bay where the view is amazing. You can only get to the villa via water taxi, therefore you are far from the noise of the busy town of Pto. Ayora. The villa itself is so beautiful that you cant´ stop being astonished by the design and details in every room. After we met the charming owner, Diana, we understood the reason the villa is so unique. Diana and her staff are so nice and hospitable that you really feel you are home. We had a wonderful time and I highly recommend this villa !!!!! A great way to end a spectacular dive trip. The house is beautifully decorated and well appointed. A couple of days to relax in comfort and seclusion, although town is just a short water taxi ride away. Ideal place to spend time with friends and family as part of your Galapagos experience. Have food prepared at home or eat out, Casa Iguana caters to for all. The water front location allows one to watch the world go by but allows privacy and a feeling of being in ones own home... I spent a week in Casa La Iguana. As a well experienced traveler and a connoisseur of the finer things in life I have a experienced a simple "delicious" retreat in this superbly appointed home that has the best that Galapagos has to offer: great location, spectacular view, charming amenities, and friendly staff. The town center is just a short water taxi ride away. at Santa Cruz you have tons to do and you can take day trips to other islands, go scuba-diving, or have the perfect fishing experience in the Pacific. From the moment I laid eyes upon Casa La Iguana I knew that I was going to have the perfect vacation. I travelled with a bunch of lifetime friends and we rented the house for a week. We were all impressed by the décor in each room and the villa in general. It was very luxurious. We made full use of the house by spending endless hours lounging by the pool, cooking, and relaxing. Honestly, the location is astonishing. I practically saw the water from everywhere I stood on the property. My friends and I are making this place one of our annual trips! First class all the way. I came with 9 members of my family ranging from 8 to 75 years old. Great fun was had by all! We could do as little or as much as we liked. The villa caretaker was very helpful in arranging trips for us. The staff spoke only a little English, but we managed. Everything they cooked was superb! The villa was charming with a very eclectic variety of art and furniture. We enjoyed just walking around and looking at everything in the house! Rooms are wonderfully decorated, each with a GREAT air conditioner, private bath, & tv, not that ours ever got turned on! We loved the open air feel of the rest of the house. Gentle breezes abounded! Our favorite place was standing over the water watching all the sealife go by. Seals lounged on our dock, frigates, boobies, pelicans, and iguanas also perched daily on the rocks. We will definitely not ever forget the wonderful memories made at this fantastic place. Once-in-a-lifetime trip! Lori P

"Fabulous stay in the Galapagos" The house is beautiful, view exciting, staff friendly, and location ideal. Keep a look out for sea lions, turtles, and eagle rays while sitting on the deck. The bird watching is spectacular; a lone frigate bird sits on the post in front. A great experience. Highly recommended. Wickedmonkey33
